Michael McKinders is a seasoned real estate expert with over 30 years of experience in real estate.
From his early years the only path Michael wanted to follow was in real estate. It all started when his father tasked him to edit, maintain, change and update leases for his father's business on the family’s Apple 2E computer. He had a natural gift for numbers, so he followed that path and graduated college with a finance degree.
Michael worked his way up from project account in his first job through various roles and entities to CFO of a multifamily developer while working with some of the biggest companies in Canadian real estate. Companies such as Brookfield Properties, Triovest and Katz’s group (Ice District Development). Throughout the process, generating significant income for these companies through their real estate assets.
Michael supports his business growth through strong leadership and solid business practices. He specifically chose his last role as a CFO in a multi family development company to enhance his knowledge of the multifamily real estate sector.
Now he has selected Community Multi Family as the means to execute development the right way. Michael aims to create a cohesive team that strives to collaborate with partners, investors, contractors, and tenants to create something truly exceptional in Alberta’s multifamily sector.
Michael lives with his wife and son in Calgary AB and has two adult stepdaughters. He loves to spend time with his family playing games, taking their dog Luna for walks with his wife, and barbecuing. He also enjoys spending time watching his son play club volleyball at practices and tournaments.
